Campbell and George Co. is seeking a self-driven, energetic Sales Engineer to join our team. We are a nationally recognized full service supplier of sequential, sensory, motion and electro-mechanical control products. The ideal Sales Engineer will be responsible the following:

  • Identify new customer opportunities and determine needed resources to close new business and generate additional revenue.
  • Identify and qualify potential accounts that match product and application competencies.
  • Plan and lead individual and joint sales calls to direct accounts seeking new orders and maintaining customer relations.
  • Protect and grow existing direct accounts.
  • Attain monthly and yearly sales goals established by management
  • Review and prepare technical proposals to meet customer specifications and requirements
  • Maintain a high degree of technical knowledge relevant to that required to fulfill job responsibilities
  • Understand products, applications, markets and customers to better recommend solutions to prospective customers

Qualifications

  • BS in engineering field or equivalent experience
  • 2-5 years field sales and/or technical application experience
  • Product knowledge/application experience in areas including Sensors, Vision, Actuators, Programmable Logic controllers, Variable Frequency Drives, Operator Interface Displays, Robot, Servo/Motion products
  • Solid leadership skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills and proposal writing
  • Organization skills to manage schedule and travel in territory
  • Computer proficiency – knowledge of contemporary IT technologies & MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
